A lovely compact and bushy dahlia. It has a central ring of short petals surrounded by an outer ring of longer petals in a contrasting colour.
Pinks, whites, reds, yellows and mauve....a lovely mix of colours and interest.
Because they are a fairly compact plant ( they will grow up to 60cm) they are great for the front of a border or to grow in pots on the patio.

Genus Dahlia variabilis
Sow Seeds Sow February-April into moist compost and cover lightly with compost or vermiculite. Keep at 18-20 degrees and germination will take anywhere between 5-20 days. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them to larger pots and grow in cooler conditions.
Plant Out Acclimatise over 2-3 weeks before finally planting out when all risk of frost has passed. In Autumn prune back the stems and lift the tubers. These can be overwintered in a cool (frost-free) place and replanted the following spring when all risk of frost has gone.

I have ordered many seeds from this website, the delivery is reasonable and so are the seeds. I get fantastic germination and am no expert. I have tried other seed companies and nothing compares. This is a very safe bet and one that you won’t regret.
Completely a beginner but they have germinated after a couple of days and seedlings seem to be coming along nicely, very healthy and happy little plants … seeds came in addition to sow a long package and all beautifully presented … will be a repeat customer
